Last day of school

We were surprised by an emotional bus deboarding -- several of the kids, including ours, were crying. They were sad that school was over! That was soon resolved with the party Sue coordinated at our house for the neighborhood kids, which included a visit from the ice cream truck. I'm not certain what Cal got, but it looks a little scary!

Last day of School

Calvin had an amazing year in school, and it is hard to believe it is over. He really loved his teachers, therapists, and friends, and would include them in his prayer list every night (and I don't expect that will stop any time soon). Much thanks to any of you who might happen to keep up with our blog!

Slip-n-slide

Calvin spent most of his time watching his sisters do the slip-n-slide while he sat and let the little streams of water spray into his mouth. Well, good ole Dad decided he needed to go down the slide, so I pushed him down a few times to his disapproval, and then he was hooked. He now takes running starts and dives on the thing just like the other kids. Side benefit -- I may never need to mow that part of the yard again.
