Swim Team!

The girls are doing swim team this summer and so far, it's been a success!  M is extremely enthused about the sport, the meets, the practices, & new friends.  A is the very youngest on the team, so while she is really good, she is in the 8 & under group, so naturally there are many 8 year olds who are faster than her, so she's not quite as excited as her older sister, but still seems to be having fun!:)  It's been a neat experience for Doug and I too, the meets are quite the events and lots of fun!  M has qualified for conference in the backstroke which she is super proud of.  Sadly, our family vacation is scheduled the week of conference AND the swim team family BBQ -- sigh!:(  Maybe next year!   

HAIR!

The girls both experimented w/ sleeping in braids one night.  Adrienne was proud to show off her curls, while Macy wasn't as excited!:) 

Memorial Day w/ Gpa & Barbara!

We had a nice visit w/ Gpa and Barbara over Memorial Day.  They were big troopers and took the kids to the pool twice during their stay (in 90+ degree weather!)  We think we started 2 new Memorial Day traditions -- Celebration at the Station (a neat event on the lawn of the WW1 Memorial w/ the KC Symphony) and lunch at RJ's Bob-be-que in Mission--I'm not a huge BBQ fan, but this place was tasty (especially their sweet potato fries!!:) 

Soccer Camp

We've had a busy start to the summer!  C went to a soccer clinic hosted by Sporting KC (the professional soccer team in KC).  Despite chilly weather, he had a great time! 

Camping

We had a great time camping this weekend and even took Gus!  He was a trooper and even took his first swim in the lake!  A good time was had by all!

Kids Triathlon

The girls did a kids tri on Saturday, it was fun to watch them both compete!  Enjoy some shots of the action!!
