Off to Cousins Camp

On Friday, Gretchen, Macy and I met Aunt Liane and Greta at DFW for them to fly together to Cousins Camp! Macy was so excited and once we told her good-bye before she went into the security line, she never looked back! We'll miss her, but know she is having the time of her life...Plus, we're knee deep in potty training today (more on that later...Gretchen thinks I should blog about it, so we'll see how much energy I have left after today:). Fortunately, they are both napping now, so we're getting a little break. Doug and I keep laughing about how exhausting it's been!!! Adrienne seems to be catching on and Calvin...well, he knows how to go and what to do, we're just not sure he knows WHEN he has to go. Wish us luck and send some prayers for patience, perseverance and endurance our way!!!

Macy's Send Off!

As I type this, Macy is having a blast at Cousins Camp swimming w/ the gang in Mamo and Papo's pool. She was less than interested in talking to Doug and me when we called, so we're glad she's already having a great time. We sent her off w/ a sandcastle cake in honor of her time at the beach w/ Mamo, Papo, Greta, and Jordan. She had such a fun time making it!

On Wednesday, she and I flew to Dallas and enjoyed a few days w/ Auntie G, Uncle Dave, and Baby Charlie! Auntie G arranged a special lunch for the 5 of us at the American Girl store at their Bistro. Since Macy doesn't have an American Girl doll of her own (and thankfully, was more interested in the AG doll animals than she was the actual dolls which have a price tag of $90), she was able to borrow one to dine w/ us at lunch. It was a wonderful treat and she had a memorable time!

Fishing

We cought several large-mouth bass and bluegill on the lake. More on day 2 than the first night here. Little A wanted to hold every fish.

Camping with the Jones Family

The permanent residence at the Jones farm where we camped this weekend and had a great time.
We were in a tent just out of the picture on the left (no picture of tent! Just video -- need to assign a videographer in the family).

Little did the kids realize what we were eating while they had hot-dogs... I doubt many finer meals have been had at a campsite.
Little A came out of the tall grass with some rodent baby -- don't know how she found it, or what it was, but fortunately it wasn't alive. There was great argument over who got to hold the dead animal, but A wasn't giving it up for a second.
