Back to Costa

OK, I could get used to this blogging thing! Here are a few pictures from my (S's) highlight of the trip (our canopy tour). 18 zip lines, 2 repels and a Tarzan swing, it truly felt like we were flying! The 4 of us who did it (several had done it before) had a blast!

The End of an Era

Lil' A was so excited to move into her 'big girl bed' that she wanted to help Daddy take down her crib! Last night was her first night in her new bed and let's just say it didn't go quite like we had planned! We (or I, Mommy) thought moving her to a big bed would help cure her of her nightly wake-up calls (which I partly attributed to her getting too big for her crib). Well, it didn't seem to make much difference as she cried out MULTIPLE times from 3:20 - 5:40 a.m! Needless to say, wore her out today (and even skipped her nap) in hopes of a better nights sleep. My emotions caught me off guard as tears came to my eyes while they were taking down the crib...all of our babies slept in that crib...this stage in our lives is over.

Yes, she did this to herself

It all started when we told her to put on her bathing suit, and she found goggles that came in with a step ladder I pulled from the garage... but that's another story.

Hey Melvin! There are humans in our living room again.

El Patio

This was our favorite restaurant -- we ate there two nights in a row. A $150 dinner for about $50. House wine by the glass was $4, and your glass was about 1/4 of a bottle.

Manuel Antonio

Leaving the National Park (at low tide, you can walk across, but they have signs to beware of the crocs). Little different than our park system.
The open-air market that opens every morning along the public beach.

Beach cuisine. We at at a place much less formal than this...

Critters in Manuel Antonio

Two toed Sloth
Five-finger discount... racoon ran up to this girl who was sunbathing, tapped her on the back, she jumped up, and he went for her food, dragging it into the woods to eat. He's done this before.

Critters in the house

Geckos were everywhere. The next night, there were three at this buffet.

Yes, that is a bat below. We had a few random ones fly in the house at night, and they also liked to live in the laundry room, which was like a small cave for them. One day I was asked to manage the laundry due to this, and had a bat flying around my head for 5 minutes while I found out clothes.
